Tuesday Thro...oh who are we kidding, this is a McDavid Trade Post!

Greetings cretins, and welcome to a special edition of the Insiderrrrrrrr Report! Put your dicks away, the size measuring contest is officially down to a 2 schlong show. Ottawa GM Kavan Young - responding to my last article where I simply mentioned that he had McDavid on the trade block, decided to hang brain in an attempt to display his superiority over the rest of the league. Not to be outdone, Dublin GM JD Dufour whipped out his firehose and stepped up to the plate where several others had backed off, landing McDavid in the trade of the year. Let's break it down (am I the only one  that always hears the start of DX's theme when I hear those words? I can't be alone.) OTTAWA GETS Ryan O'Reilly, Will Butcher, 2018 1st round pick, Cap Relief While it may not factor in until next year, make no mistake about it - this was a cap-dictated move by Ottawa. Facing the impending raise that McDavid will get next year, and looking at the rest of their team, the Knights had...

Friday Frenzy!

We're back for another waste of time! We had a couple of minor trades this week, but with the biggest name moving being Anthony Duclair, nobody really cares.  That said, there's still a few teams that are openly campaigning for some help in nets. Abitibi Canyon is dangling Taylor Hall and/or Matthew Dumba in an attempt to improve. Hellebuyck has bounced back nicely, but you can't really trust Mike Smith as a long term option. Nobody blames them for looking. Dublin is also looking, as they are hurting in the crease this year. Really, the Warriors are just hurting all over. Someone ran them over with a truck. And then backed up over them. And then ran over the corpse again. The longer Price is out of action, the more dire their situation gets. And of course, the Price has been wrong (BOB!) this year so far anyways. They did pick up James Reimer from the Buds, but the day they pulled the trigger on that, Luongo returned to action and has been lights out so far. The ...

Thursday Something!

Welcome back to 13 people's favorite fake article! Before we look at the current matchups, we have a trade to breakdown! TO BC Martin Jones Marcus Johansson Las Vegas' 2nd round pick TO LAS VEGAS Nico Hischier Mike Condon BC's 1st round pick BC's 3rd round pick As with all trades involving Prospicks, we won't truly know who "wins" this trade for a while. But what we can do is examine the current pieces, and more importantly, the teams' needs. The fact of the matter is this: BC *needed* another starting goalie, as their crease has been a mess since shipping Braden Holtby off to the Invaders this summer for Corey Schneider and 4th liner Mitch Marner. Everybody knew they were looking and willing to pay. So how they managed to land a top flight goalie in Jones *without* shipping back a starting goalie is anyone's best guess. This leaves the Vagabond's crease - once a strength - in the hands of Bob the goalie and a couple backups. H...

Friday Frenzy!

It's been a tough few weeks for yours truly as I've been battling a bad case of busyasfuckitis. However, the hoards have been clamoring for more Scoop, so here I am. Literally, they have been. The scene at the Powerplant brought a tear to my eye as the fans, ignoring the game in front of them, started a Scoop chant. Thank you, Buds fans. Thank you. Now that the sappy stuff is out of the way, let's dive right into some news, as we've got a ton to cover! TRADES GALORE! There has been an uptick in trades while I've been recovering, and a lot of it has to do with Northumberland. They've been apparently sneaking into the B.C locker room, making an ounce of deals. We covered the Eichel trade on our last date, so let's pick up after there. The long and short of it for the Kings is this: Players in: Claude Giroux, Ryan Ellis, Cody Ceci, Philippe Myers, Brandon Carlo, Colton Sceviour, Jake Debrusk, and Darcy Kuemper  Picks in: 1st (SAS), 4th (NEW), 5th (OTT)...
